The Floating Piers of Christo in Montisola

When: from  June 18th to July 3rd 2016

Starting point on the mainland: Sulzano (during days of the istallation, the town is completely close to the traffic).

Description of the path: The first floating pier will link Sulzano (on the east coast of Iseo Lake)  to Peschiera Maraglio, on Montisola. There, the path will continue on the mainland, to Sensole.Along that walk two floating docks will take off to rejoin 200 meters from the island of St. Paul. At that point the catwalk will define the perimeter of the small private island.

Timetables: always open (24 hours, at night the path is specially lighted).

Price : free (no reservations)

How: walking (not running) with comfortable shoes, better barefoot; the path can not be done by skateboard rollerblade or bike, even if carried by hand; They are  instead allowed  strollers, prams and wheelchairs. Dogs are allowed only if provided with  a leash and a muzzled.

Sulzano will  be reached only by ferry, train or shuttle bus


SP510 Sebina Eastern outputs of Iseo-Polaveno, Marone.

• Motorway A4 Milano/Venezia outputs: Rovato, Ospitaletto, Palazzolo, Brescia West , Brescia Center  direction  Iseo Lake. It could be possible to  leave the car in the car parks indicated by the map.


Sulzano is easy to reach by train from the station of Brescia. We suggest to combine the visit to the city of Brescia (which is just 45 minutes by car from The  Polisena) with that to the Floating Piers of  Christo. Update information about all routes are available on Trenord site.
