The location
People from all the five continents have fallen in love with the rolling hills of vineyards surrounding Polisena. Each season colours the landscape differently, offering a new perspective from the panoramic terrace, where you can relax under the warm Italian sun, admiring the view that stretches form Bergamo to the Appennini. We chose to open Polisena in this area that has been devoted to viticulture for a thousand years, renovating an ancient building that used to be a convent for wine-making monks, and furnishing it in a rustic-chic timeless style.
Conveniently located in Pontida, just twenty minutes away from Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) airport, served by Ryanair and other major airlines, Polisena is the perfect setting for your Italian country-chic wedding. Everything is at hand to make your wedding day unforgettable: The green vineyards, the gourmet food, our sparkling organic wine, the chilly air, and nearby amenities to be discovered on a day trip.
The main room with the fireplace, the veranda or the panoramic terrace will be the background of your ceremony and banquet depending on the season and the weather. Each of them will add to the elegance and mood of the wedding with the rustic charm of the wooden details.
Food and wine
“L’uomo va preso per la gola” is an Italian saying which can be roughly translated into “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, and we believe this is true not only for a man, but also for each one of your guests. Treat them on a genuine Italian wedding reception, where top-quality food is the absolute hero, and make an impression not only on their hearts, but also on their tastebuds. We can tailor the perfect menu depending on your preferences, adjusting it to any special needs you or your guests might have. At Polisena, you will find traditional local food with hints of contemporary cuisine, made with locally produced ingredients from certified organic suppliers.
Every course of your weeding banquet can be paired with organic wine produced in our vineyard, located right outside the restaurant. Choose among our award-winning bottles the ones which you like most or let the owner and sommelier Marco suggest the best pairing. And if you like it that much, you can have your own bottle of wine as a gift for your guests to sip remembering these sweet moments spent celebrating together.
The service
We are a family-run agriturismo, where you will find a cozy and unconventional environment. We will make you and your guests feel at home, while guaranting the top-quality service which distinguish us. Polisena can host intimate weddings with up to 100 guests. We offer a full wedding planning service to help you setting up your ceremony: We will suggest the right vendors, choosing among those selected through the years. Airport transfer, as well as guided tours in Bergamo, in the vineyards or to nearby towns, wine tasting, flower decorations, music band: We will tailor everything to make your vineyard wedding dream come true.
